Kemper submits second quarter financials
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LONG GROVE, ILL. – August 17, 2009– Kemper filed its second quarter 2009 financial statements (LMC financial statement - AMM financial statement) on Thursday, August 13, 2009. The company posted a combined statutory surplus of $115.6 million. Of this amount, $104.3 million represents Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company’s (LMC) surplus, with the $11.3 million balance posted by American Manufacturers Mutual Insurance Company (AMM).
