Kemper submits year-end financials
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LONG GROVE, ILL. – March 3, 2009– Kemper filed its year-end 2008 financial statements (LMC financial statement - AMM financial statement) on Thursday, February 26, 2009. The company posted a combined statutory surplus of $124.3 million. Of this amount, $113.2 million represents Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company’s (LMC) surplus, with the $11.1 million balance posted by American Manufacturers Mutual Insurance Company (AMM).
