Kemper submits first quarterfinancials
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE LONG GROVE, ILL. – May 18, 2006 – Kemper filed its first quarter 2006 financial statements (LMC financial statement - AMM financial statement) on Monday, May 15, 2006. The company posted a combined statutory surplus of $170.2 million. Of this amount, $159.8 million represents Lumbermens Mutual Casualty Company’s (LMC) surplus, with the $10.4 million balance posted by American Manufacturers Mutual Insurance Company (AMM).
